Another Friday is upon us and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here and set to lead you into the weekend. This week, we’re talkin’ Oilers turnaround, goaltending, depth scoring, and what to expect from round two of the Battle of Alberta.
To start off this week’s episode, we jump in with a look at the Sherwood Ford Giant Question of the week which was centred around the recent turnaround and what is the biggest cause. From there, we took a look at the week that was, including some big wins over the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Montreal Canadiens. Is the Oilers’ hot start to January the beginning of a turnaround after what was a miserable month of December? What a difference a week and change can make! From line changes to depth scoring to strong goaltending, the Oilers are getting all kinds of quality performances from throughout their lineup and it’s been a lot of fun to watch. Looking ahead, we previewed tomorrow night’s Battle of Alberta and expressed our excitement as we make our way down to Calgary with two busloads of the Nation’s finest citizens. From there, we spoke a little bit about the trade deadline and what kind of assets the Oilers could part with as Ken Holland tries to upgrade the lineup.
