It’s a Tuesday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to help you break down all things Edmonton Oilers.
Kicking off the pod, we started with a conversation about whether or not the Oilers’ coaching staff is doing a better job under Kris Knoblauch than they were under Jay Woodcroft. Over the last few weeks, the special teams have improved, the goals against have come down, and it was an interesting thought exercise to hear the boys give their take. Changing gears, we looked at the last two wins over Minnesota and New Jersey, and how the team is playing some very good hockey in all three zones. We then looked at Calvin Pickard’s performance against the Devils and how it was a stellar game for a goaltender who hadn’t played in nearly three weeks. Needless to say, seeing Pickard play the way he did certainly throws some cold water on the idea of recalling Jack Campbell any time soon. Looking at the league as a whole, we brought Woz in for a quick round of Can You Clear That Up For Me to shed some light on some of the stories and issues that surround the team. Lastly, we looked at tonight’s matchup against the Golden Knights and gave our score predictions for what will be a very important night at Rogers Place.
