It wouldn’t be a Monday afternoon without a fresh episode of the Real Life podcast, would it? Of course not.

The boys kicked off the podcast by discussing an idea from Target in the USA: patrons can enjoy a beer while they’re shopping. The boys then wondered if they would even want to spend more time in the grocery store or if they believed this could be an insurance issue waiting to happen.

Changing gears, the guys spent the next few minutes talking about the Nation Vacation at the end of the month and how the boys are excited about the 5KM run they organized for Denver. Baggedmilk, however, is thrilled to be sitting out that run and promises to meet the boys with a fresh beer when they cross the finish line.

Turning the podcast back toward the Oilers, the boys discussed how great it was to watch the boys dismantle the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. Given that the boys were struggling to score goals, is it too much to hope that the floodgates could open up a little bit? That said, there are still a couple of players — Nugent-Hopkins and Podkolzin, specifically — who are struggling mightily to get pucks in the net.

Finally, the fellas wrapped up the podcast with a discussion about Jeff Marek joining The Nation Network and how it’s wild to think about how far TNN has come over the years. Needless to say, welcoming Marek into the family was a big moment for the company, and the guys are all excited to see what kind of content he produces with the MSM shackles coming off.
