May 20, 2021, 17:00 EDTUpdated: May 20, 2021, 16:46 EDT
Game one of the Oilers’ Stanley Cup run is in the books and, needless to say, it did not go the way we wanted which had the boys on the Real Life podcast fired up and ready to break it all down. On today’s podcast, the guys looked at what went wrong in game one, what needs to change ahead of Friday’s rematch, and welcomed Scott Hastings from OddsShark to break down the latest NHL news and what’s going on in the world of sports gambling.
Kicking things off, the guys got started with a recap from last night’s hockey game and expressed their frustrations and disappointment with the way the series started. From a slow start to a couple of tough bounces against, the Oilers didn’t look horrible by any means but it goes without saying that they need to pick things up ahead of game two. Changing gears, the guys started talking about Drake showing up at the Lakers games last night, which was another excuse to bring up the old story of when Jay got caught cheering for the Calgary Flames. Getting the show back on track, Tyler asked the guys to come up with a few keys that the Oilers need to take with them into game two to ensure that they head to Winnipeg with the series tied at one apiece. Finally, the guys wrapped up today’s podcast by welcoming Scott Hastings from OddsShark to help break down the latest betting trends from the NHL, recap the week that was, and offer up details on the latest news from the world of sports.
