Real Life Podcast Episode 284 – Making sense of the heartbreak

May 24, 2021, 16:45 EDTUpdated: May 24, 2021, 16:42 EDT
The first three games of the Oilers’ Stanley Cup run are in the books and, needless to say, things have not gone the way anyone would have expected which had the boys on the Real Life podcast fired up and ready to break it all down. On today’s podcast, the guys looked at what’s going wrong with the Oilers, previewed tonight’s elimination game, and anything else that’s going on in life.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a look at last night’s devastating loss in game three and tried to make sense of what the hell happened. As far as disappointing losses go, this one has to rank up there with some of the most heartbreaking moments Oilers fans have experienced in recent memory. While there is still a slim chance that the Oilers may be able to come back, it goes without saying that they’re going to need a whole lot of luck and hard work if they’re going to get anywhere close. No matter how you slice it, this series has not gone the way that Oilers fans (and pundits) have expected and it will be interesting to see what (if anything) the boys have left in the tank for tonight’s elimination game.
