Real Life Podcast Episode 324 – “The Meek Shall Inherit the Crease”

Oct 26, 2021, 17:00 EDTUpdated: Oct 26, 2021, 17:15 EDT
We may be a day late, but the boys are back with a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast to help you get this new week started and make sense of the world around us. In today’s episode, the guys talked about Halloween candy, beating Google Maps, the old McFarlane Oilers jersey, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a conversation about candy after Yaremchuk started the podcast with a bunch of Rockets in his mouth. From there, the guys looked at some of the best and worst Halloween candies that go out every year after Jay humble bragged about giving out full-sized chocolate bars at this place for the first time ever. Changing gears, Chalmers wanted to talk about the poor planning he’s noticed with the city’s garbage pick-up schedule as he noticed bags of leaves that are ripe for shenanigans. Finally steering the podcast back to sports, Chalmers couldn’t help but gush about his two favourite sports teams that are both undefeated right now. Seeing as the Oilers are 5-0, the guys dove into everything from their team bonding trip to the anniversary of the Todd McFarlane jersey to daylight savings time staying the same. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a breakdown of the situation that happened this past weekend after Tom Brady threw his 600th touchdown and had it end up in the hands of a fan who returned the ball for a huge sum.
