Real Life Podcast: GOAT talk, fighting at sporting events, and Chalmers’ birthday plans

Feb 9, 2023, 18:30 ESTUpdated: Feb 9, 2023, 16:14 EST
Another Thursday has landed on the calendar, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a whole lot to talk about to wrap up the week. On today’s show, the guys looked at the term G.O.A.T, fighting at sporting events, and more.
Kicking off the second episode of Real Life of the day, the podcast got started with Wanye’s hatred of the term GOAT and how it’s so wildly overused these days. Back in the day, we used to name Goats and Stars at Oilersnation and the Goat was the term we used as our whipping boy. Just as that conversation was wrapping up, Chalmers wandered into the studio and kicked off a whole conversation about the fight that broke out at the Stars game and how there has never been someone that’s deserved to get punched more than that guy. From there, the podcast devolved into all kinds of random nonsense about everything from Jaleel White on Family Matters to cricket to Chalmers’ favourite week of the year. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a chat about Chalmers’ birthday and how things have changed mightily since they were kids. Gone are the days of partying on your birthday, ya know?
