Real Life Podcast: Infomercial love, Tyler’s pro-serve test, and the Edmonton Oilers

Mar 9, 2023, 18:00 ESTUpdated: Mar 9, 2023, 17:09 EST
Another Thursday has landed on your calendar, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with another hour of nonsense and (maybe) some Oilers talk to wrap up your week. On today’s show, the guys looked at late-night informercials, watching live sports, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off the second episode of Real Life of the week, the podcast got started with a very random discussion about infomercials after Tyler uttered the phrase “set it and forget it” without knowing its origin. That led the guys to talk about all of their favourite infomercials from over the years and how it used to be fun to sit and watch the shenanigans late at night. Changing gears, Tyler talked about what it took for him to get his pro-serve certificate to be able to serve drinks at the Oilersnation 15th Birthday bash that’s coming up next weekend. As you’ll hear, it’s almost amazing that Tyler was able to pass the test with flying colours given that the exam itself was filled with such outrageous scenarios. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a little bit of Oilers talk as the boys get set to take on the league-leading Boston Bruins tonight TD Garden.
