The Oilers are getting set to kick off the Western Conference Final tonight against the Dallas Stars, and that meant the opportunity for an on-the-road edition of the Real Life Podcast.

The guys kicked off the Thursday episode of Real Life with a quick recap of their travel down to Texas after the boys took the red eye to Dallas for games one and two. Despite a long night of travel and very limited sleep to keep them upright, the boys’ spirits were high, and everyone was excited about what was to come in the first game at American Airlines Arena.

After a few minutes of arguing about whether or not Ryan McLeod should be in the lineup in favour of someone else after some costly errors at the end of the second round versus Vancouver, the guys put together a squad bet for Game 1 in the hopes of paying for some of their trip. As you’ll hear, the boys are feeling good about the start of this series, and they are putting their money on manifesting a win.

Even though this was only a short edition of the Real Life podcast, it also felt like the boys covered a lot of bases at the same time. There’s nothing better than playoff hockey, and being able to do a quick podcast from the road is a blessing that’s hard to describe. All four of the fellas felt incredibly lucky to be able to record a show like this, and hopefully, the Oilers will respond with a win and give everyone plenty to talk about tomorrow.
