Last night’s win was a huge one for the Edmonton Oilers as the team offered up what was arguably their best 60-minute effort in quite some time. Not only did they put up seven goals on the board, but they also did a fine job of eliminating Seattle’s ability to generate high quality chances. From the crease outward, the Oilers looked like they were all pulling on the same rope, and they’ll need to repeat that level of execution if they hope to extend their winning streak tonight against the Jets. Led by Connor Hellebuyck’s brilliance in net, the Jets are having themselves a very strong season but have run into some recent injury issues that could be the lane the Oilers need to pull out this win. That said, it’s going to take a big effort from the Draisaitl-less Oilers if they’re going to get the job done, and that has me feeling cautious about where I’ll be putting my money.

Tampa Bay over Arizona on the money line, Washington over Montreal on the money line, and Dallas over San Jose on the money line at 2.54. My $5 bet would return $12.70.

After getting shut out against the Flames, responding with a 3/4 night for my game day bets was exactly what I needed for both my spirits and my bankroll. Not only did the Oilers lay the boots to Seattle in an important divisional game, but they got contributions from throughout the lineup, which is the exact recipe we’re looking for down the stretch.
