Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I don’t know how you, the reader, feel about tonight’s game against Vegas, but I can’t think of a bigger matchup. Yeah, I know these two teams just played on Saturday night at Rogers Place, but this time around, the Oilers’ ability to catch the Golden Knights in the standings could hang in the balance. As of this afternoon, Edmonton is five points back of Vegas in the Pacific Division standings, and if they have any hope of actually catching up, then this is a game the boys have to win… preferably in regulation. That said, we all know that nothing is given to you in the National Hockey League and if the Oilers are going to pull in the win then they he’ll have to bring their A-game to get the job done. As for me, I’ll be doing what I can with some quiet betting manifestation to try and trigger the universe into giving us a hand. Will it work? Dare to dream.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Golden Knights.
Player Prop:
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.25.
Easy Money:
Over 1.5 total power play goals at -110. My $5 bet would return $9.54.
Risky Business:
Edmonton to win, over 6.5 total goals, and Connor McDavid to score 1+ goal at +350. My $5 bet would return $22.50.
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Dallas over Chicago on the money line and Winnipeg over San Jose on the money line at 2.00. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Last Game
The Oilers needed to win last night’s game against the Coyotes in the worst way, and I’m very happy that they were able to get the job done even though it wasn’t overly pretty. Not to mention, I also cashed in on 3/4 of my bets, which was a nice start to climbing out of the whole I dug for myself on Saturday.
- Leon Draisaitl to register 2+ points at -105. ✅
- Over 1.5 total power play goals at -125. ✅
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +225.- Edmonton over Arizona on the money line and Colorado over Anaheim on the money line at 1.86. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Golden Knights.
