<p>Can I be honest here for a moment and admit that I&#8217;m incredibly nervous about tonight&#8217;s game? No, I&#8217;m not nervous because <a href="https://publish.oilersnation.com/2023/05/12/g5-game-notes-who-will-be-missed-more-darnell-nurse-or-alex-pietrangelo/">Game 5</a> is always a pivotal one — I actually see that as a huge opportunity — but rather because we have no idea which Oilers team will show up. So far in this series, the boys have followed up a strong performance with a stinker and that has me concerned about what kind of effort we&#8217;ll get. If the Oilers give us a full 60 minutes worth of simple hockey then I don&#8217;t think Vegas can compete, but if they get back to trying to force cute plays for whatever reason then we&#8217;re going to get ourselves in trouble. So what does that mean for my bets? Cautious optimism and a sprinkle of strategy.</p>
