Sherwood Ford GIANT Playoff Pre Game Show – Game 1 – Oilers vs Kings

May 2, 2022, 19:00 EDTUpdated: May 2, 2022, 18:02 EDT
The playoffs are finally here!!! The Oilers pushed their way through all 82 games and now the meaningful hockey really begins. From the jump this season we said that the way this Oilers’ season would be viewed hinged directly on how they performed in the postseason and tonight is their first chance to take a step in the right direction as the puck drops on their first-round series against the LA Kings. The Oilers come into this series with a lot of momentum behind them and the fan base seems to believe that this group is capable of going on a run. Myself, Caroline, and Jay broke down tonight’s game and our thoughts on the series on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre-Game Show!
Edmonton won the season series against the LA Kings but honestly, that doesn’t mean a lot when you consider the Oilers also won the season series against the Winnipeg Jets a year ago and then were promptly swept in the playoffs. There are no gimmes in a best-of-seven series and while yes, Edmonton is clearly the better hockey team, if they don’t bring their A game it will be another early exit.
The Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show will go live at 1 pm every single game day in the playoffs! So tune in and don’t forget to subscribe to The Nation Network on YouTube!
