The Oilers are back on home ice tonight after taking a quick trip out to Winnipeg. The winning streak is now at five games for the team but tonight’s matchup is without a doubt the most difficult they’ve had since the Jay Woodcroft era began. The Minnesota Wild are 30-13-3 this season and while they have lost back-to-back games, they’re still 7-3-0 in their last ten games. This is a team with legitimate Stanley Cup aspirations and they’ll be a very tough test for the Oilers tonight. The victory over Winnipeg was an interesting one to dig into. The team played very well for the first 50 minutes of the hockey game, but they let the Jets right back into it late in the game. We talked about what we did, and didn’t like, about the win. The way Jay Woodcroft deploys his lines was another big topic today on the show.
