The Oilers are finally back on home ice after a long five-game road trip! They’ll be looking to get back into the win column as well after an OT loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. They’ll be welcoming the Montreal Canadiens to Rogers Place and while the Habs are sitting right near the bottom of the NHL standings, they have been playing some pretty good hockey as of late. Still, this is a team that the Oilers should handle rather easily as they did back in January. Caroline and I broke down the matchup for the Oilers in today’s Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show!

Edmonton managed to grab five of a possible ten points on their road trip which isn’t bad, but it didn’t help put them in any better of a spot than when they left for the trip. They’re still right in the thick of the playoff race and with the LA Kings and Vegas Golden Knights both winning last night, there is some serious pressure on the Oilers to grab two points tonight and keep pace with those two teams.
