OH MY GOD! OKAY, IT’S HAPPENING!
Whoa, sorry. Don’t know how that happened there.
Anyways, big news out of Edmonton Friday afternoon as Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Darnell Nurse and Zack Kassian have hit the ice at Rogers Place.
And what’s exciting about it all is that it’s just showing how we’re one step closer to getting hockey games back. McDavid is believed to be in incredible shape with our own Jason Gregor reporting via sources yesterday that the Oilers captain been able to train harder in the last three months than he did all of last season.
McDavid, of course, was rehabbing his knee injury suffered late last season and still put up 97 points in 64 games this year — the best scoring pace of his young career.
Also notable from these four hitting the ice is that Zack Kassian has brought back his mutton chops ala 2017 Playoffs.
Earlier this week, Ethan Bear and Patrick Russell hit the ice and just yesterday Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Matt Benning were seen skating.
