WATCH: Alex Chiasson scores beauty

I don’t think Alex Chiasson wants to return to the press box. It took the winger a little while to get into the lineup and he’s certainly making the case that he belongs there.
Chiasson buried his first goal as an Oiler in the second period of Tuesday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Watch as he completely destroys the Penguins forward who tries to check him before getting a shot on goal and then burying his own rebound past Matt Murray. That’s absolute domination from the big man.
As we know, the Oilers badly need scoring from their bottom-six. Seeing plays like this from a player like Chiasson is certainly a positive sign. Chiasson has added some skill to the Zack Kassian and Kyle Brodziak line and the trio has looked quite solid together so far.
Chiasson flew under the radar this off-season despite being a solid depth player on the Stanley Cup winning Washington Capitals. He was originally drafted by the Stars and was a main piece in the trade that sent Ottawa Senators captain Jason Spezza to Dallas. He’s always had skill to go along with his big frame, but Chiasson hasn’t really been able to put it together.
