We’re halfway through this Wild/Oilers game and we’ve got another highlight reel goal to review, and you’ll never guess who scored it.
Please take as much time as you need to watch the below goal by Connor McDavid over and over and over again. It begins with Kris Rusell chipping the puck high off the glass from his own defensive zone into the neutral zone. Connor McDavid picks this puck up and turns on the jets to the other end of the ice. The Minnesota Wild defenceman takes a small stumble at the blue line and that’s all Connor needed to blow by him.
After Connor did what he does best (making defencemen look like pylons), he took the puck hard to the net on the mini-breakaway and tucked the puck bar down behind the Wild goaltender. This is obviously going to be one of the highlights of the nights tomorrow morning but the great thing is that we see this sort of stuff from Connor every game and it’s amazing. I will never get sick of watching Connor McDavid blow by every guy on the ice to embarrass the goalie, and neither should you.
Twitter Reaction
Obviously, this goal sent Twitter into a frenzy. Mark it down as another night Connor McDavid is trending on Twitter.
