WATCH: Jesse Puljujarvi buries OT winner for Oulun Kärpät

It feels like ages since we’ve been able to talk about Jesse Puljujarvi’s season in Finland.
Back in the middle of October, Oulun Kärpät, Puljujarvi’s Liiga team, had nearly two week’s worth of games postponed due to somebody in the organization testing positive for COVID-19.
On Wednesday, Puljujarvi scored the overtime winner for Kärpät in a win over Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho.
Here’s the goal, which features Puljujarvi taking a pass from former Oiler Jussi Jokinen and wiring home a one-time snap-shot with his team on a five-on-three power-play…
As you’ll notice, Puljujarvi is rocking the Kultainen kypärä, known in English as the Golden Helmet, which is worn by the player currently leading a given Liiga team in scoring. Puljujarvi has a team-leading six goals through nine games and his eight points ranks second behind Cody Kunyk, who scored four points on Wednesday.
Some other interesting information that can be garnered from Liiga’s post-game statistics page is that Puljujarvi recorded the hardest shot of the game at 136.1 km/h. He had four shots on goal over 16:32 minutes of ice time. The rest of the highlights for the game can be seen here…
