Another Thursday is here and that means a brand new episode of the Real Life Podcast is here to help you close out the week and get you amped up for the weekend. This week, the guys looked at the Oilers’ first game of the season, tales from the press box, and spoke to Scott Hastings from OddsShark to break down the latest news from the world of sports gambling.
To kick off today’s podcast, the boys got started with a look at last night’s Oilers game, including some discussion regarding the loss, what went wrong, as well as some first impressions regarding the new players like Koekkoek and Kahun. Clearly, it was unfortunate that the first game ended up in a loss but everyone to a man was looking forward to the rematch. The boys also spoke about the touching tribute the Oilers made to both Joey Moss and John Muckler ahead of puck drop, and how excited everyone is to watch ‘Anything for Joey’ ahead of tonight’s rematch against the Canucks. Next up, Tyler told a few tales from the press box and offered a handful of examples of how strange it is to be covering a game from an empty arena. Looking forward to game two, the guys gave their takes on what needs to change to ensure that they don’t start the year in a two-game hole. Lastly, the guys wrapped up today’s podcast with a look at the betting world, including the wagers they made on the Oilers game as well as the upcoming NFL weekend.
