Oilersnation Radio Episode 203 – Closing Time

How about another fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio to look back at the Western Conference Finals and how everyone felt after getting swept by the Avalanche? On today’s show, we talked about what went on in the series, where the Oilers went wrong, what comes next, and a whole lot more.

To kick things off, we got started with a look back at Game 4 and what it was like to experience a Western Conference Final against one of the league’s best teams. Whether it was the way the Avs were able to mostly shut down McDavid and Draisaitl to the way the Oilers couldn’t get the breaks they needed at the times they needed, there were plenty of reasons that the Oilers didn’t get the job done and sometimes you have to tip your cap to an opponent that was very good. From there we looked ahead at what’s to come for the Oilers, including which players we think have played their last game for Edmonton and which ones we’d love to see back. Obviously, cap space is limited so we can’t bring back everyone but certainly, there are some guys that should be prioritized over others. Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots before wrapping up with a look back at the best and worst moments from the Western Conference Finals.
