It’s Friday afternoon and that means we’re hitting you with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you finish off what’s left of your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today’s show, we looked back at the first two games against Colorado, what needs to change ahead of Game 3, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off this week’s podcast, we got started with a look at the first two games in this series and specifically what adjustments the Oilers need to make to pull themselves back in this series. Whether it’s finding ways to defend the Avalanche’s rush attempts in their own zone or manufacturing chances at the other end, there is plenty of room for improvement and it will be very interesting to see what changes are made ahead of the first game back at Rogers Place. From there we walked through some possible line changes that could happen, specifically if Woodcroft would be interested in going back to the 11-7 formation that worked so well throughout the regular season. Would bringing in Kris Russell or Philip Broberg be enough to shelter Darnell Nurse a little bit? Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers.
