Oilersnation Radio: Oilers ring of honour, Jake Virtanen rumours, and Jersey Ads

We’re only a couple of weeks away from the start of the NHL pre-season and that means the boys have plenty to talk about on today’s episode of Oilersnation Radio. On today’s show, we talked about the Oilers’ Hall of Fame, the Jake Virtanen rumours, and a whole lot more.

To kick off this week’s podcast, we got started with a look at the Oilers’ Ring of Honour and specifically who we would pick as our first overall selection to be honoured. While there’s no doubt that the Oilers have plenty of worthy options, it will be fascinating to see who gets named as part of the first class and what the reaction will be. From there, we looked at the Jake Virtanen rumours that have popped up a little bit and whether it makes any sense for the Oilers to be interested. As you’ll hear, none of us really understand why Edmonton would be interested given the current cap and depth situation. Put another way, we all thought that there are probably better options out there to bring in to bolster the depth chart. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers.
