It’s Friday afternoon and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has wrapped and is here to help you get through what’s left of your week. On today’s show, we looked at Kailer Yamamoto’s new deal, the Jonathan Huberdeau contract in Calgary, and a whole lot more.
To kick off this week’s podcast, we got started with a look at Kailer Yamamoto’s new two-year contract and whether or not it was a good deal for the team after the 41-point season he just put up. For all of us on the podcast, we were pumped to see Yamo coming back on a two-year deal but we also recognized that there was a sizeable group of Oilers fans that were hoping for a longer deal. That all said, the Oilers are now $423K over the salary cap and that means someone is likely on the way out. Who would that be? Changing gears, we looked at Jonathan Huberdeau’s $84 million contract that just came down last night and whether Treliving had to overpay to make it happen. Does it even matter? Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap the week that was.
