To kick things off, the boys got started by revisiting the Oilers’ playoff loss and how they haven’t recovered from the disappointment in the six days that have passed since they got knocked out. From the goaltending to the defensive zone coverage to lack of intensity throughout the series, the Oilers made so many mistakes that it’s hard to find many positives from their play-in round against Chicago. Regardless of where your solutions come from, the Oilers will need to find a way to make some significant changes despite the lack of cap space they have to get that done. Is it possible? Only time will tell. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with a few updates on Tyler’s Words With Friends girlfriend, and the heartbreaking conclusion to his online relationship. We also got an update on Jay’s back alley surveillance after he caught someone in the neighbourhood that was feeding the stray cats behind his house.
