Real Life Podcast: The Oilers are alive with another chance to extend the series

The Oilers went to Florida and came up with a clutch 5-3 road win in Game 5, extending their series for at least one more game, which meant there was plenty to talk about on the Thursday episode of Real Life. Now the question becomes whether the boys can do it for a third time and force the Panthers into an elimination game of their own.

The Thursday episode of Real Life kicked off with a hilarious discussion about Chalmers’ unique eating habits. He confessed to pairing toast with every meal, showcasing his bizarre yet impressive skill of matching the correct number of pieces of bread with the meal. Chalmers has confessed to a lot of interesting habits on this podcast, but this bread talk was just the latest chapter.

Shifting the focus of the podcast back to the Oilers, the guys recapped where they were at during Game 5 and how everyone feels now that the boys were successful in dragging the Panthers back to Alberta. Even though Tuesday’s win wasn’t necessarily the prettiest win we’ve ever seen in the history of our fandom, the Oilers managed to grind out a win that could have easily gone the other way. Yet, even with all of that pressure coming their way, the boys found a way to live another day.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of the podcast by discussing everyone’s plans for Friday night. Given that ticket prices are astronomical for Game 6, only Jay and Tyler will be in attendance while the other guys are still figuring out where they’re going to watch. Given the stakes at hand, the boys are trying to make the perfect decision as a means of manifesting a huge win.
