Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a look ahead at the NHL Entry Draft and what the Oilers may do with their 29th overall pick. Will Ken Holland walk up to the podium and make the selection as expected, or is this the year he finally packages that pick up with something else to potentially improve the roster? Will he trade down for more picks as he did last year when the team picked up Xavier Bourgault? From there, we looked ahead at what will surely be a very busy offseason for the Edmonton Oilers as the team will try and replicate the success they had during the 2021-22 season. Will Holland be able to clear the cap space needed to potentially get a new goalie while also upgrading the rest of the roster? Only time will tell, but there is little doubt in my mind that this is going to be a wild summer for the Edmonton Oilers.
