Edmonton Oilers officially announce third jerseys

After a month of speculation as a result of the leaked images that surfaced on Twitter, the @Edmonton Oilers have officially announced their alternate jerseys for the upcoming season via their social media accounts.
If you look back at the comments section from the day the pictures leaked, the reaction was skewed more to a negative slant than it was to the positive, but after looking at them again this morning, I don’t hate the new jerseys. In fact, I might be so bold as to suggest that they might look pretty damned sharp on TV — what do you think about that? That said, I can understand why some folks would prefer that the team stick to their classic colours rather than reinventing the wheel, but the whole point of releasing a third jersey is to move some units and that’s exactly what will happen.
Regardless of whether you’d actually spend your hard-earned dollars on one of these or not, the worst kept secret in local jersey news has finally been revealed and I wanted to get everyone’s opinion. Do you like this new jersey? Do you hate it? Do you even care? What do you guys think?
According to the video, the Oilers will be putting these jerseys up for sale on September 16th, 2019.
