Edmonton will reportedly host both of the Conference Finals and the Stanley Cup Final

As per tradition, the Stanley Cup will not be awarded in Toronto.
According to Bob McKenzie, it appears as though Edmonton will be used as the host location for both the Western and Eastern Conference Final and the Stanley Cup Final. McKenzie speculates that the rationale for picking Edmonton as the host instead of Toronto has to do with health and safety as Alberta’s capital has fewer COVID-19 cases.
So, it seems, whatever happens to the Oilers this summer, we can tell ourselves that the Stanley Cup was won in Edmonton for the first time in a long time. Let’s just hope the Flames aren’t the ones who win it. That would be uncomfortable.
