Jordan Eberle, take a bow.
The former Edmonton Oilers forward has entered the record books scoring the first hat trick in Seattle Kraken history.
It came Wednesday night against the Buffalo Sabres in a 5-2 win. Eberle’s first goal tied the game at 2 late in the third, and opened up the third period with two goals in the first eight minutes of the period.
“It’s obviously an honour. It’s really cool,” said Eberle after the game. “I’ve had a couple but you get first in Kraken history in this arena it’s pretty special. I’m not going to lie, when (the third) went in I definitely thought about it.”
The best part of it all? Seattle’s fans got to experience it as the trio of tally’s came at the Climate Pledge Arena.
