The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our lone bet of the day will be taking Josh Anderson to take over 2.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -125.
Anderson comes into this matchup against the Anaheim Ducks having taken 17 shots on goal in his last five games hitting the over on this prop in three of those games. He’s hit this prop in 30/59 games on the season. Looking in a slightly bigger picture, in the Canadiens’ last 15 games played, Anderson has taken 45 shots on goal averaging 3 per game.
These two teams are terrible, but Anderson’s ability to shoot at a good clip gives him the best chance in my eyes to cash a prop from this game. The Ducks continue to be terrible allowing 40.84 shots against per hour in their last five games, the worst rate in the NHL

Our second bet of the day will be taking Connor McDavid to score 2+ goals. These odds sit at +300 and will be a half-unit bet.
McDavid is looking to make history Friday night by becoming the third player in NHL history to score 2+ goals in six straight games. Only two other players have hit this feat, and they were both done a century ago: Joe Malone (16 goals over six games between Feb. 12 – Feb. 28, 1921) and Punch Broadbent (14 goals over six games between Jan. 14 – Feb. 1, 1922).
He’s been on a tear as of late scoring 10 goals and 16 points in his last five games.
