Have we finally reached the point of panic? It feels that way, doesn’t it?
The Edmonton Oilers put together another dismal display on Saturday afternoon, losing 5-2 to the Nashville Predators. Earlier in the season, the Oilers dominated the Predators in Nashville; however, only a few weeks later, the roles reversed, and Edmonton had no counter to the Preds’ attack.
What’s the issue? Is there an issue with Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner? Is the blueline good enough? Is the offence good enough? All are reasonable questions to ask. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will answer those questions on today’s show. You can interact and give your thoughts on the current state of the Oilers, too. Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel and leave your thoughts in the Finning/CAT live chat. It’s strongly encouraged by the hosts that you leave your opinions to add to the conversation on the show.
Of course, today is also a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre-Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Tonight, the Oilers take on the Canucks in Vancouver. Edmonton’s last visit to Vancouver was on opening night when the Canucks put eight passed Campbell and Skinner. Perhaps that should’ve been more of a sign of what would come this season. Later that week, the two teams clashed again, and a late goal from Sam Lafferty gave Vancouver a 4-3 win, sending the Oilers to 0-2-0.
Will tonight be a different tale for the Copper and Blue? The guys will get into everything game day related and more on today’s episode of Oilersnation Everyday.
Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.
