Brendan Perlini first as an Oiler! What a rush by Bouchard #LetsGoOilers pic.twitter.com/O2ISpZl8wk

DEPTH GOAL! DEREK RYAN
— Adrian Fernando (@Browndalorian) December 17, 2021
Nice to see Foegele score.
Even if it’s just an empty net.
He’s played well and the puck just hasn’t gone in for him. I like him on this line. #Oilers 5-2

Jesse Puljujarvi scores two power-play goals in 46 seconds to make it 2-0 #Oilers in the opening frame! #LetsGoOilers pic.twitter.com/15GRgRos09

You know what makes my pure Oilers heart happy? It wasn't McDavid that got us out of this slump, it wasn't Draisaitl, it wasn't Nuge, it wasn't Nurse, it was the guy that everyone turned their back on. It was Jesse Puljujarvi. Ironic really. Love the Bison King #LetsGoOilers

WARREN FOEGELE FINDS A WAY ON EVERY SHIFT I SWEAR

2- Little Yam Fry
That was a world-class shift by Yamamoto.
Great hustle to disturb Tanev on the breakaway. Goes the other way, one-times a Draisaitl feed and Foegele deposits the rebound.
A big shift in his home state. Oilers pull even. #Oilers

Yamamoto's best period maybe all year
— Adrian Fernando (@Browndalorian) December 19, 2021
What a sequence for @kailer_yamamoto there! You love to see it!!
— Den Polland (@oilersgm2) December 19, 2021
yamamoto is out there doing things on a nightly basis that are keeping him in the oilers top-six. one of the hardest forecheckers on this team and consistently disrupts the cycle in his own zone. there's more to his game than just shooting pucks.

1- Adversity
The Oilers are 2-0 and have played excellent hockey since Tip has been away from the team. They allowed a season low 17 shots against today. Could be trending in the right direction even with all the COVID protocol missing players. 18-11, hopefully they can keep it up.

Great game. Half of the team out and still 41-17 shots. Depth stepped up. Gg.
— Its Me (@R00mShamb1es) December 19, 2021
This is how we can play 👏🏼 40 shots? Good hits? Fights & a full game of effort. Our 0-6 stretch had none of this & that's why we lost. Good to see our depth step up & take some anitiative. Good win, good game. One of our best efforts as we were depleted 😁

This was a hard working Oilers that pulled this one off.. out hit them 2-1… you love to see it!
