After a three-game road trip, the Oilers return to Rogers Place tonight for a matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Both of these teams are coming off disappointing performances as the Oilers dropped a 4-3 decision in Chicago earlier in the week while the Blue Jackets blew a late 2-0 lead down in Calgary on Wednesday. They’re both in tight playoff races and they’ll both be desperate for two points tonight. The Oilers have dominated the Jackets over the last few years, winning four of their last five meetings, outscoring Columbus 22-11 in the process.

The Oiler’s big guns have been a big reason for that dominance. @Leon Draisaitl has three straight three-point performances vs the Jackets while McDavid has 13 points in his last five games against Columbus. The Jackets have had a hard time keeping pucks out of their net lately, with 19 goals against in their last five games and it’s a big reason why they have just two wins in their last ten games.
