Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Florida Panthers

Oct 27, 2019, 13:00 EDTUpdated: Oct 27, 2019, 12:33 EDT
Coming off their most thrilling win of the season on Thursday against the @Washington Capitals, the Oilers conclude their brief two-game homestand with a matchup against the Florida Panthers.
Their bottom six continues to struggle and they’re really one getting offensive production from four players but yet they continue to rack up wins early in the season. This afternoon, they’ll take on a Panthers team that is 4-2-4 on the year and despite the fact that they went out and signed high-end free agent @Sergei Bobrovsky this summer, they’ve actually been struggling to keep pucks out of their net. They currently rank in the bottom third of the NHL when it comes to 5v5 goals against even though they’re one of the best teams in the league at limiting chances. Considering the fact that the Oilers have the two of the best offensive players in the game, this should be a very interesting matchup.
The Oilers were also dealt some unfortunate injury news on Friday when it was announced that Josh Archibald will miss the next 2-4 weeks with a fractured foot. I went through the expected changes to their lineup, today’s starting goaltenders, and everything else you need to know about this afternoon matchup.
