Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs New York Rangers

Dec 31, 2019, 15:15 ESTUpdated: Dec 31, 2019, 15:17 EST
After being picked apart by their provincial rivals on Friday night, the Oilers return to action tonight with a match for a matchup against the New York Rangers. The Oilers are stuck in a rut right now. They’re 2-7-1 in their last ten games and have just one win in their last six home games. It’s currently a very dark time around Oilersnation but the team has a great chance to bounce back tonight as they take on a team that they’ve had some recent success against. The Oilers beat the Rangers 4-1 earlier this season and have picked up wins in three straight games against New York.
There will be some fresh faces in the lineup tonight as both Kailer Yamamoto and William Laggesson have been recalled from Bakersfield. Both will be in the lineup tonight and it will be Laggesson’s first career NHL game. Lots of other lineup changes to discuss heading into tonight’s game as Head Coach Dave Tippett is opting to put @Connor McDavid, @Leon Draisaitl, and @Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on separate lines.
I broke it all down in the Pre Game Podcast (pres. by YEG Burger)! You can download it directly to your device by clicking the button in this article. You can also head to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Play!
