Oilersnation Pre-Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs St. Louis Blues

Nov 6, 2019, 16:00 ESTUpdated: Nov 6, 2019, 14:53 EST
The Oilers continue their homestand tonight with a matchup against the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Edmonton kicked off their run of three straight home games with a tough overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes but tonight, they’ll get a bit of break thanks to the NHL schedule makers. While the Blues are a very good team once again this year and don’t appear to be suffering from any sort of Stanley Cup hangover, they did play late last night against the Vancouver Canucks. Fatigue may be a factor tonight.
The Oilers will also get to face Jake Allen, who has been far less reliable than Jordan Binnington through the first month of the season. Edmonton will go with Mike Smith who is coming off a pair of fantastic starts against Columbus and Pittsburgh and also sits top ten in the NHL in both GAA and SV%. There are plenty of factors that lead me to believe the Oilers might be able to snag two points tonight.
I went through everything you need to know heading into tonight’s matchup in today’s Pre-Game Podcast!
