It’s a Friday afternoon, it’s an Oilers game day, and that means there’s plenty to talk about on this last episode of Oilersnation Radio before the Christmas break. This week, we looked at last night’s win over New Jersey, Philip Broberg’s development, and our favourite parts about Christmas.
Kicking off the pod, we started with a conversation about what hope Santa will bring the Oilers for Christmas with a caveat that we weren’t allowed to say goaltending. Whether it’s more consistent depth scoring, a winger for Leon Draisaitl, or consistency from game to game, there are plenty of items on the wishlist that would make a major impact if we got them. Changing gears, we looked at last night’s win over the New Jersey Devils and how depth scoring was a huge part of securing those two points. If only Edmonton could get more depth goals like that on a regular basis, then this team would probably be in a completely different spot. Lastly, we closed out the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Ask the Idiots, Kennedy’s Quotes Game and Hot and Cold performers.
