It’s Thursday afternoon, the Oilers got dummied on opening night, and that meant there was plenty to talk about on the newest episode of the Real Life Podcast.
Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys started off with a look at last night’s disastrous affair in Vancouver. Needless to say, dropping the first game by a touchdown is the last thing any of us expected to happen given how hyped everyone was to get going. Changing gears, Jay told a story from last night’s season launch party where a random person approached him to say that Mattias Ekholm needed hip surgery. Despite not being real, this news kept Jay awake as he scoured Twitter for any news confirming or denying it. From there, the podcast fell off the rails as you’d expect from Real Life as the guys wandered in and out of a handful of topics. From Big Brother to gas station shenanigans to betting strategies for Saturday, this was one of the spiciest episodes of Real Life that the boys have recorded in quite some time.
