The NHL regular season is right around the corner, and to get into the spirit of things, they talked about some hockey. To begin, they gave their thoughts on the newly released Amazon documentary. Chalmers watched the first few episodes and talked about how it made a couple of players look really good. Wanye only watched the episodes that involved the Oilers and gave some thoughts on how Leon Draisaitl came off.

From there, they talked a little about betting for our friends at bet365, where they hit on the NFL weekend, the MLB playoffs, and the odds for the Oilers for their first game of the year. With only two more days to wait until the Oilers get going, the boys were doing what they could to drum up some buzz in a way that only the Real Life podcast can (or can’t).

Tyler then quizzed the guys on some offseason moves from around the NHL to really get them ready for tomorrow’s first day of games. You’d think that guys on a sports podcast would have been paying attention, but as you’ll hear, that wasn’t always the case. Spoiler: Chalmers failed miserably, while Jay was able to run the table. This also somehow led to a weird confession from Tyler that you’ll need to hear to believe.

To wrap things up, Chalmers provided an update on the story he shared last episode about his wife’s long-lost sister that she was travelling to meet for the first time.
