What I don&#8217;t understand is how a team can look so good in one period and so bad the very next, and the Oilers will need to come up with a much higher level of consistency if they&#8217;re going to get back on track against the Islanders. In this morning&#8217;s <a href="https://publish.oilersnation.com/2023/01/05/game-notes-new-york-islanders-at-edmonton-oilers-patience-has-an-expiration-date/">game notes</a>, Gregor mentioned that the players help a players-only meeting yesterday, and maybe it&#8217;s the optimist in me but I&#8217;m hopeful that having something like that happen could be a turning point. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;ll be eagerly waiting to see what kind of performance they come up with in the rematch against New York.</p>
