It was the Trevor Moore show Wednesday night.
He and his linemates Philip Danault and Viktor Arvidsson contributed in all three of the Kings’ goals en route to their 3-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Moore, however, was the triggerman for all three goals scoring his first career hat trick.
He opened the scoring nearly five minutes into the game blasting home a bouncing puck from the point past a screened Stuart Skinner.
Zach Hyman got one back with seven minutes left in the second period. Both Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid got physical in the corners, and Ryan Murray was able to set Hyman up, who drove to the net and scored.
With under three minutes in the second, Trevor Moore scored his second cashing in on a cross-crease pass as a powerplay expired.
He finished off his hat trick with a minute left in the game firing a long shot into an empty Oilers net.
Next up for the Edmonton Oilers is a Saturday night game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
