The Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Collin Delia to a one-year contract, PuckPedia reported Monday.
The deal is worth $775,000, and will see him earn $400,000 in the AHL with a guaranteed $425,000.

Delia, 30, spent last season with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, the affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. He posted a 11-19-1 record, a .872 save percentage and a 3.55 goals against average.
Undrafted, Delia appeared in 52 NHL games since he turned pro in 2017-18, having signed with the Chicago Blackhawks. In them, he’s posted a 19-18-7 record, a .897 save percentage and 3.51 goals against average.
This signing, however, isn’t for the NHL club: it’s to provide depth in the organization.
Delia has appeared in 153 AHL games over the last seven years, posting a 76-61-20 record, a .900 save percentage and a 2.98 goals-against average.
That aforementioned season with the Blackhawks saw him carry the load for their AHL team, the Rockford IceHogs, posting a 17-7-6 record, a .900 save percentage and a 2.72 goals against average. He started 10 playoff games for them that year, going 7-3 with a .924 save percentage and a 2.34 goals against average, but they fell in the Western Conference Finals.
The Oilers locked up Calvin Pickard days ago to serve as their backup in the NHL, but the team had little in the way of organizational depth in the crease. Olivier Rodrigue will be the AHL Bakersfield Condors’ starting netminder this season, but Delia will likely get a chunk of games there, too. Beyond that, Ryan Fanti and the recently signed Connor Ungar will likely be operating as their ECHL affiliate Fort Wayne Komets goaltenders.
