It&#8217;s happened! It&#8217;s finally happened. The Oilers hottest defensive prospect at the moment has scored his first NHL goal and it was a beautiful one to say the least.

On his 13th NHL game, Ethan Bear has potted his first NHL goal on the powerplay. First of all, Connor McDavid&#8217;s pass actually made me say &#8220;wow&#8221; out loud. Bear then finished the beautiful pass off with a one-timer that goes top shelf giving Gibson absolutely no chance of stopping it. To make things better, this was the go-ahead goal for the Oilers with under ten minutes left to play in the game.
Bear has been quite the pleasant surprise since he was called up for the Oilers a few weeks ago. He&#8217;s got a lot of work to do, especially in the defensive end, but he&#8217;s definitely made his mark on the power play. Bear has gotten comfortable at the top of the first-line powerplay unit while being allowed to shoot as much as his heart desires. Tonight all that power play time finally paid off as he potted a goal that he&#8217;ll never forget.
It appears Ethan had a ton of fans and family in the stands tonight as well which makes this goal even more special.
