Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
We’ve got a big matchup on our hands here, folks. Not only have I been looking forward to watching the Oilers take on the Kings, but you’d have to imagine that both teams feel the same way. Unfortunately, given where Edmonton is at in the standings, there’s also a lot more pressure to perform than maybe we would like, but that’s the spot we’re in after the first month of the season went sideways. The good news is that the boys should be fired up to take on a Kings team that always seems to bring out the fight in them, and that’s exactly what I’ll be expecting in this first head-to-head of the season.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Los Angeles Kings.
Player Prop:
Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots on goal at -105. My $5 bet would return $9.76.
Easy Money:
Oilers to put 32+ shots on net at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.
Risky Business:
Connor McDavid to register 2+ goals at +600. My $5 bet would return $35.00.
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Over 6.5 total goals and Leon Draisaitl to register 1+ point at -105. My $5 bet would return $9.76.

Last Game
The reality is that I got greedy against the Sharks. I don’t know how it’s possible that I lost every bet in a 5-0 win, but that’s what happens when you bank on the big dogs getting all of the points. These are painful lessons, friends, but at least the Oilers won the game.
Here’s what I bet against the Sharks:
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to register 2+ points at +162.Over 60.5 total shots on goal at -125.Leon Draisaitl to register 3+ points at +300.Oilers moneyline and over 6.5 total goals at +105.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Kings.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
