Real Life Podcast: Talking Oilers wins, Halloween candy, and more stadium fight breakdowns

Oct 19, 2023, 18:00 EDTUpdated: Oct 19, 2023, 16:50 EDT
Thursday afternoon means the boys are back with a fresh episode of the Real Podcast, and after a big Oilers win, there were countless topics for the boys to cover.
Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys started with a breakdown of Tuesday’s win against the Nashville Predators. From Leon’s dominance to Connor McDavid’s ridiculous spin goal, the Oilers gave us their best effort of the season, and the results were exactly what we all needed after opening the year with two straight losses. Somehow, talking about the Oilers beating the snot out of the Predators led Chalmers to keep it 100 about how planning your life changes significantly after you have kids. So, when it comes to Halloween, it’s hard for parents to hit up parties when they have to figure out what’s happening with their kids first. The guys then discussed what is the best candy to give out on Halloween and whether the Chalmers family should give out pops or full-sized chocolate bars. Thankfully, the boys were able to help diffuse the situation with some stellar advice. From there, the podcast really fell off the rails as the guys wandered through an array of topics without being able to stick to anything for longer than a few seconds. If you’re a fan of the pod wandering into randomness, this Thursday episode is for you.
