Game 1 of the Battle of Alberta was certainly a memorable one. The Oilers really couldn’t have started that game any worse and yet, they found a way to have things tied up early in the third period even though they really didn’t deserve to be in the game. They were outplayed by the Flames in almost every facet of the game and they will need to be much, much better tonight if they want to steal home-ice advantage away from their provincial rivals. Jay and I broke all of that down on the show today but first, we were joined by a very special guest on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show as Edmonton’s Mayor Amarjeet Sohi stopped by in-studio to chat a little bit about the series!

We also gave our thoughts on what the Oilers need to do tonight if they want a better result, who needs to step up for the team, and of course, we talked about where we’re wagering our money tonight! I’ll also be out at The Pint on Whyte this evening for another watch party with plenty of great prizes!
