We’re only a few short weeks away from the start of the NHL season and that means the boys have plenty to talk about on today’s episode of Oilersnation Radio. On today’s show, we talked about the Jason Demers PTO, the Oilers apparently being out on Jake Virtanen, the Evander Kane settlement, and a whole lot more.

To kick off this week’s podcast, we jumped in with a look at goalie equipment from yesteryear after Jack Campbell’s new goalie equipment was released this past week. Was there a goalie in Oilers history where you loved their gear? From there, we looked at Evander Kane’s settlement with the San Jose Sharks that finally came through today. Now that we know Kane will be getting a lump sum payment from the Sharks, it’s almost surprising that it took this long for this story to get wrapped up. We also spent a little bit of time talking about Jason Demers coming to town on a PTO and whether the 34-year-old veteran has any chance of actually cracking the roster. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers.
